Nubuck leather with matt surface
2,0 - 2,2 mm thick
D-DENVER is a decorative leather with a thickness of 2,0 - 2,2 mm. It is dyed in the barrel and rubbed for refinement. This creates a fine, roughened nap although the natural structure of the hide is retained with all its natural signs of growth. The leather has a nice soft feel and a naturally matt, velvety look. D-DENVER is patinated (i.e., weathered) during use but still remains hydro-phobic (i.e., is impregnated with special spot protection that wraps itself around the fibers like an invisible protective film that cannot be seen, smelled or felt so that liquids and oils cannot penetrate the leather quickly). The feel and active breathing remain unchanged. D-DENVER reliably meets the requirements of Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel (German Quality Association for Furniture – DGM).
We test all our leathers for their functional characteristics and fulfillment of the DGM quality guidelines RAL-GZ 430 “Allgemeine Güte- und Prüfbestimmungen für Möbel” (general quality and test specifications for furniture): D-DENVER fulfills the strict requirements as follow:
Light-fastness: min. level 4 | Rubbing fastness: min. level 3
We process natural and growth marks based on the particular piece of covering and the character of the feature. Only real faults which might negatively affect the quality of the leather are left out of the covering.
