B-Toro
ANILINE LEATHER
Leather with satin-gloss surface
1,3 - 1,5 mm thick
B-TORO is an aniline leather with a thickness of between 1.3 and 1.5 millimetres. It impresses above all with its natural look, outstanding breathability and optimum comfort properties. B-TORO is used untreated.
Its colouring develops inside the vat, meaning that the leather attains its colour "from the inside out" through immersion without the addition of an extra pigment coating. The hide's pores stay open, and all of its natural characteristics remain obviously visible. They make each piece of furniture unique.
As it is an aniline leather, B-TORO has excellent temperature and moisture regulating properties. B-TORO is not embossed; its pattern is the natural grain of the leather, which has a silky sheen as it has been waxed. The wax forms a film on the hide's surface, which means that its colour will change slightly as soon as something touches it. B-TORO consistently meets the standards of Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel e.V., the German furniture quality assurance association.
We test all our leathers for their functional characteristics and fulfillment of the DGM quality guidelines RAL-GZ 430 “Allgemeine Güte- und Prüfbestimmungen für Möbel” (general quality and test specifications for furniture). B-TORO fulfills the strict requirements as follow:
Light-fastness: min. level 3 | Rubbing fastness: min. level 3
We intentionally process all natural and growth marks including open places – regardless of the particular piece of covering or the character of the feature. Only real faults which might negatively affect the quality of the leather are left out of the covering.
